Personalized Care

The International Association of Yoga Therapy defines yoga therapy as ‘the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga.’ (IAYT.org)

Through noticing the body, acknowledging stories, learning about yoga philosophy and more, Yoga Therapy helps to return agency to clients. It supports clients to be able to move and live in a more connected way with their bodies.

Together with a Yoga Therapist, clients will create programs that support their specific needs by incorporating different aspects of Yoga into their practice or life, such as movement, meditation, and breath work.

Benefits of Yoga:

  • Anxiety, Stress, Depression
  • Autism & Special Needs
  • Developmental Movement
  • Injury Recovery Challenges
  • Social Challenges
  • Illness/Disease
  • End of life

Studio Etiquette

Get the most out of your yoga practice with these simple rules of etiquette.

Sign-up: You can pre-register for classes online, or drop in to sign up. Each class has a maximum of 6 spots, availability is limited! We highly recommend pre-registering for classes as spots may fill up quickly and we wouldn’t want you to miss out on your practice.

Time: Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before class starts. It may take a few minutes to check-in, fill up your water bottle, and get your mat and props set up.

Transportation: There is street parking in the area surrounding the practice. There are also bus routes that run along Bank Street, allowing you to quickly access the practice by bus.

Mats: We recommend bringing your own mat and props to class. If you don’t have one or forget it at home, a limited number of rental mats are available. When setting up, please position your mat onto the floor stickers; this will allow everyone to have enough space for their practice.

Shoes: Everything is more fun barefoot. Please take your shoes off and leave at our studio entrance. You’re also welcome to carry them with you to place in a locker.

Lockers: Please store your belongings in a locker. Our lockers have built-in locks, so no need to bring your own.

Adjustments:

Due to COVID-19 adjustments will not be given during classes.

Please take an adjustment card from us when entering the studio to notify whether or not you are comfortable with physical adjustments. If you would prefer to not have touch-based adjustments, our teachers can give verbal adjustments if an adjustment is necessary.

Late Policy: Students will not be admitted 5 minutes after the start of class. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the start of class and make your way into the studio.

Savasana: Take time at the end of class to envelope yourself in Savasana. If you do need to step out early, please do so in a quiet manner, to not disturb those who wish to stay a little longer.

*We reserve 30 minutes in between each class for COVID-19 cleaning procedures*
