Emma Rose
Emma graduated with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) from the National Academy of Osteopathy in 2016. She then continued her studies at the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMSS) to complete the online Doctor of Osteopathy (DO, Spain) Program. Since graduating and beginning her work as a manual osteopathic practitioner, Emma has also taken multiple continuing education courses in Neurokinetic Therapy, Immaculate Dissection, and Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute.
Emma’s love for the body began long ago when she started dancing at a young age. She pursued a Bachelor’s Honors degree majoring in Dance through the School of Contemporary Dancers, affiliated with the University of Winnipeg. Upon graduating in 2010, Emma danced professionally with Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers and Gearshifting Performance Works. Around that time, she also discovered a love for yoga and pursued her (RYT) yoga teacher training. She has been teaching studio and private classes since 2012.
In 2014 Emma traveled to Thailand to learn Thai massage at the Old Medicine Hospital Thai Massage School Shivagakomarapaj, where she had the pleasure of learning from many skilled traditional practitioners.
Emma believes in a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to healing as it can be a complex and challenging journey for some. She strives to help people build awareness and mindfulness around their body, movement, and wellness in her practice.
Emma loves to stay active and be outdoors. She spends her free time cycling, practicing yoga, playing soccer, snowboarding, or relaxing with wine or tea and a great book.
